Organization
Founded by an environmentally conscious
Myanmar doctor, FORM was registered a
Charity in UK in 1997 and USA in 2001.
FORM started it activities in Myanmar in
2000 after registration as a local NGO.
The primary objectives of FORM are;
protection of environment, alleviation
of poverty, promotion of education and
health and the use of renewable energy
in rural areas.
The main source of Fund is provided by
the founder and donations from
well-wishers and grants for projects by
some international organizations.

Our
Activities(2000-2006)
For protection of
environment, FORM has undertaken
-
reforestation and establishment of two
community forests planting 14000 trees
in Nyaung-Oo Township in the Dry Zone
Region. .
-
Rehabilitation of mangrove forests has
been carried out in Thaketa Township in
cooperation with the Ministry of Border
Areas Development and National Races..
- Donations
for 127300 seedlings of mangrove species
in Mawkyun in the Delta Region.
- For
community development, Micro-credit
lendings have been provided in 3
villages for livestock breeding and
agriculture for generation of income..
- 250
households in Tangyigone village in east
Popa have been provided household
lighting by solar energy battery
charging.
- For
promotion of education, desks and
benches were donated for a middle school
in Palin Village; .
- donation
of exercise books and stationary for 230
students of primary schools in 3
villages.
- For
promotion of health donation for annex
building to martinity clinic in Bike-kar
village in Kyaikhto.

establishment of community forest in
Kyauku Proposed Protected Forest in
Nyaung-Oo Township;

establishemnent of OTOT Forest(One
Tourist, One Tree) near Nyaung-Oo for
participation of tourists in
environmental plantation.

reforestation of 500 acres and
establishement of model natural forest
in 500 acres in Hlegu Township.

establishment of Research, Recreation
and Demonstration mangrove forest(100
acres) near U-do creek in Chaung-tha..

renovation of Primary school in
Ohn-hnegone village in Hlegu Township.
Our Future
Plans
- Create
awareness of global warming and climate
change through media, seminars and
talks;
- to make
surveys and prepare project proposals to
obtain funds from donor organizations;
- extention
of micro credit schemes in rural areas;
-
establishment of OTOT Forest in Puta-Oo
in Kachin State in cooperation with
Malekha Lodge;
- promotion
of research and development by providing
scholarships and funds;
- provide
more assistance for promotion of
education and health.
